It’s always an honor when Marika Hackman visits. This weekend Studio Milwaukee was lucky to host the English folk singer, who is touring behind her latest album for Sub Pop, “Any Human Friend,” which she released in August.

You can watch her performance below.

Here’s an album of photos from her performance.

Some bands you just have to see live to fully appreciate. Milwaukee electro-rockers GGOOLLDD are one of them — as immersive as their slick, escapist pop songs are, it’s the band’s highly visual live show that seals the deal.

On Friday we were happy to welcome GGOOLLDD to our studio for an intimate performance ahead of their Summerfest headlining gig later that night. They played their most recent singles, discussed progress on their upcoming album and passed out flowers to some lucky fans. You can stream their performance below.

Now, watch Eels play three other songs at Studio Milwaukee, as well as a live interview with Justin Barney when they stopped in before their show at Turner Hall Ballroom on April 24th, 2019.
